Attribution policy
Every change Wingmarked makes or carries is an exact find-and-replace against the sender’s own words, shown before it is applied, and recorded. What the recipient sees, and who stands behind the message, depends on the tier the firm’s policy gives the change.
| Tier | When | The recipient sees | Who stands behind it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Invisible | Typos and grammar only. | Nothing. | The sender, as for any email they send. |
| Light | Clarity or tone. | “Wingmarked. Reviewed before delivery.” with a Verify link. | The sender; the change is on record. |
| Disclosed | A substantive change the sender approved. | “Wingmarked. Edited with AI assistance, approved by the sender.” with See changes. | The sender, who approved the exact change before it went out. |
| Countersigned | A named reviewer edited and released it. | “Countersigned by {name}, {title}. Wingmarked {date}.” with a Verify link and the seal. | The reviewer named, together with the sender. |
| Private | Counsel, or a reviewer marked private. | Nothing. | The sender; the review stays between them and their reviewer. |
A recipient can open the Verify link on any visible tier to see the record: the tier, the date, and, where the firm allows it, the exact change. A private reviewer’s identity is never shown there. Nothing on this page is legal advice; your own counsel decides what your policy should be.
